About the Author

Dr. Simone is principal of Simone Consulting, clinical director emeritus of the Huntsman Cancer Institute, and the professor emeritus of pediatrics and medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Stritch School of Medicine of Loyola University in Chicago in 1960.

He has spent his career as a pediatric oncologist, a cancer center director, and a physician leader at prestigious organizations and institutions including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Utah. Dr. Simone is the recipient of multiple awards and honors in recognition of his many accomplishments in the medical world.
